The Secretariat of the League of Arab States / Secretariat of the Arab Ministerial Council of Electricity is organizing a forum on renewable energy and energy efficiency titled: (Arab Forum for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency) in cooperation with the European Union mission in Cairo, the Euro Mediterranean Energy Market Integration Project (MED-EMIP), The Energy Efficiency in the Construction Sector in the Mediterranean Project (MED-ENEC),

MED-ENEC organized a one day workshop on Energy Efficient Building Codes on 28 September, 2011, in Beirut, Lebanon. The workshop was held back to back with the Beirut Energy Forum that took place from 29 to 30 September, 2011.

The International Leadership Training (ILT) programme run by the German Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, provides training for technical staff and managers of companies and institutions in countries with developing and transitional economies to help them initiate and manage the processes of change in their respective countries.

The MED-ENEC project has successfully held its Kick-Off workshop in Brussels/Belgium on the 7th of October 2010.

Le secteur du batiment connait, depuis quelques annees, une forte expansion, notamment dans le segment de l’habitat. Le parc de logement en Algerie, au Maroc et en Tunisie ne cesse d’augmenter. Ce parc devrait connaitre un developpement encore plus rapide dans les annees a venir etant donnee la nature demographique de la population de chacun des trois pays.

MED-ENEC: Energy Efficiency in the Construction Sector in the Mediterranean

MED-ENEC is a regional project funded by the European Union to increase the use of Energy Efficiency measures and Renewable Energy systems in southern and eastern Mediterranean countries. Apart from policy advice and business development, special emphasis is placed on the support of large building programs to enable them to act as multipliers of climate friendly technologies and measures.
