MED-ENEC - Energy Efficiency in the Construction Sector in the Mediterranean

As part of coordinated regional efforts to improve end use energy efficiency (EE), the EU-funded Euro-Mediterranean Energy Market Integration Project (MED-EMIP) and the Energy Efficiency in the Construction Sector project II (MED-ENEC) are organising a joint workshop on ‘Demand Side Management (DSM) and National Energy Efficiency Action Plans (NEEAPs)’.

Within the framework of the initiative of the Energy Department (the Secretariat of the Council of Arab electricity Ministers) of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States to prepare the Arab EE Directive for end use energy efficiency improvement and in coordination with RCREEE, UN-ESCWA, MED-EMIP and MED-ENEC, a workshop titled “End Use Energy Efficiency: National Plans for Regional Energy Challenges” was held in Tunisia on the 26th & 27th of July, 2010. The workshop was attended by a group of Arab and European Experts specialized in energy efficiency.
